As a former home editor at Really easy Magazine, I tested my share of domestic products. Cleaning was one of my beats, so I always tried out the newest mop or updated scrub brush. (What can I say, it was a glamorous task.) And now that I am a mother of two great but ridiculously messy children, I have really let these cleaning products be used. I definitely have my favorites – those I reach when soy sauce finds his way on the walls or cracker crumbs invade my keyboard splits (which unfortunately more happens than I want to admit). So if someone is good at home in cleaning up, I have decided to share my top nine products with you. Some are the best of the base – such as this microwave cleaner – while others are brilliant new inventions, such as a mini power tool for Grout that looks like an electric toothbrush (just below). Say that this is satisfactory an understatement. They actually make cleaning fun. Click on a few and you will see what I mean!

When I moved to my very first rental apartment, far back then, the skin around my bath will say, grout-y. I wish this tool had existed. It makes light work of dirt and soap foam. Use it on everything, from cranes and grills to sliding-door tracks you don’t want to put it down.

I have always hated the fact that traditional steel-wool scrubbers leave small metal remains. Then I found this medieval -looking cleaner and I never looked back. It is soft enough for cast iron pans, but will not scratch. And luckily it depends on a hook.

This Gizmo uses steam to loosen all that baked dirt within that microwave. Just take off the “hair”, fill the device with water and vinegar and see how angry mom gets really pissed off and hot steam spits over the entire interior. Then wipe off with a damp cloth. She is incredibly fun to use!

This is perhaps one of my favorite inventions ever: BPA-free silicone gloves that you can use to move hot pots and pans, as well as maneuvering around the grill. Here the ingenious part is: they are completely waterproof, so if you accidentally baptize your legs in what hot soup, the gloves will not suck it up.

I eat eggs every morning and I am messy. Before these brilliant pan scrapers, I would grab a paper towel to clean the egg residues and then use a scrub brush. It was chaos. These small helpers make cleaning up a cent. They are also great to get stickers from new glassware and plates.

If I gave my children only straws in their stockings for Christmas, they would be happy. Now that reusable straws are a must in every house, these silicone wonders – and the incredible cleaning tool with which they are supplied – are certainly a lot of use.

I can’t get enough of this microfiber -blade cleaner. I use it on jealousies and air conditioner fins – which become particularly filthy because I live in a city. Spritz with a little water and go crazy. Total wonder.

I eat over my keyboard. (Sue me. I am busy!) Because of this retractable cleaning tool I feel like a detective that works on a top secret housing. I took it out and brush crumbs between those keys, then use the silicone side to take each cruel. Great for detailing watches, cameras and mobile phones.

Plinthmate
Do my children walk on the skirting boards? Sounds impossible, but they get so grim, sometimes I think they do that. That is why the plinth size is my best friend – it takes on both low skirting boards and high moldings. The head turns into destroyed corners and can be used dry for dusting or wet for deeper cleaning.
